Matt Says: Consider Paintless Dent Repair

Posted by Matt McMurray on Jul 12, 2016 12:00:00 PM

Did you know that most small door dings, dents, and hail damage can often repaired by Paintless Dent Repair, or PDR for short? PDR is a technique of getting behind the panels in your body workin essence to push out the dents.

PDR has been around for a very long time. In fact, it was invented in the 60’s by a Mercedes Benz technician. PDR is a cost effective way to remove those dents. Most dents can be repaired for less than $100, which is a fraction of the cost of traditional body repairs. Our MAACO offers paintless dent repair that can often be scheduled and finished the same day. For as little as $50, we can get those small dents out.

There are, however, some situations in which PDR doesn’t work. For instance, aluminum panels are impossible to do. In addition, some dents in the creases of the body lines cannot be fully repaired. Another thing to remember is that PDR doesn’t make the surface flawless. But most of the time we can make the dents look good as new. I say it’s worth a try if you have a few dents you need to knock out.
