Matt Says: Did You Know About Our Tire Protection Plan?

Posted by Matt McMurray on Aug 26, 2016 12:08:57 PM

Tire protection plans and road hazard warranties are one of the best ways you can protect your investment in your new tires. I don’t think that most people realize that their tires get really beat up out here on our deteriorating roads and bridges. In addition, I don’t think people realize that the tire manufacturers warranty is only for defects and blemishes from the factories.

Matt Says: A Word About Tire Tread Wear Warranties

Posted by Matt McMurray on Jul 14, 2016 1:15:51 PM

Many tires on the road today have mileage-based tread wear warranties. You've heard it before: 60,000 65,000 70,000 miles. Some make even bolder claims, 80,000 to 90,000 miles. Most of the time tread wear and tread life warranties are bologna. Tires simply don’t live up to their promise. I mean, how could they? Matt Says: Check Out My 5 Favorite YouTube Channels

Posted by Matt McMurray on Jun 1, 2016 9:30:00 AM

Expedition Overland:

Clay Croft and the crew at Expedition Overland go on expeditions to the most remote parts of the world and document the journey in a YouTube series. They have been to Alaska and the Yukon Territory and well as Mexico and Central America. This is probably my favorite of the 5-plus YouTube channels I watch. Their content is very professionally produced so it takes a long time for new content to pop up plus I think they have regular jobs so they have to save up and plan their expeditions carefully. If you start watching them, I promise you wont stop.

Matt Says: Try The General Grabber AT2

Posted by Matt McMurray on May 5, 2016 4:57:43 PM

The General Grabber AT2 is one of my favorite AT tires.

If you are looking for an aggressive all terrain tire that looks good, lasts a long time, and has a great price then the General Grabber AT2 is for you. I recommend these tires to my customers all of the time if they want a tire that is rugged and quiet, but also tough enough to get them through the rough stuff Blacksburg can throw at them.
